DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role, you will be responsible for operating specialized equipment and vehicles that have a gross vehicle weight of 32,001 pounds or greater. When not engaged in equipment operation, you will undertake manual labor tasks. Your responsibilities will include active involvement in the maintenance of equipment, as well as performing various related tasks that may require both unskilled and skilled labor. Duties will be assigned with general guidance on a project basis, allowing employees to operate the equipment independently without the need for further instructions or assistance.

Additionally, you will engage in other manual tasks associated with the operation and upkeep of the Presque Isle and Erie Bluffs State Park complex. Your position demands a proactive approach to both equipment management and maintenance responsibilities, ensuring that all operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. Your ability to work independently while adhering to general project guidelines will be essential for success in this role.

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience as an Equipment Operator A; or Two years of experience in the operation of heavy construction and specialized maintenance equipment used at this level with a gross vehicle weight of 32,001 pounds or more: or Any equivalent combination of experience or training. Special Requirement: This position requires possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania driver's license. Condition or Employment: This position requires possession of a Commercial driver's license (CDL) with air brakes restriction lifted. Other Requirements: You must meet the PA residency requirement.
