Miller Brother Staffing Solutions is looking for a qualifed candidate for a Building Maintenance position.  This is a 1st shift position and pay is based on experience--minimum of $16/hour.

Building Maintenance

Shift: Monday through Thursday 8am-5:30pm, Friday: 6am Noon Pay Range: $16-20/hour  

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Building Maintenance Support person. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of carpentry, plumbing, ventilation, and general maintenance tasks. This role is critical in ensuring our facilities remain functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform basic carpentry tasks, such as repairing doors, door locks, and minor structural repairs.
• Handle plumbing issues including fixing sinks, repairing leaks, and unclogging drains and toilets.
• Assist with ventilation maintenance and repair.
• Carry out painting and floor repair as needed.
• Clean and maintain the shop area to ensure a safe and orderly environment.
• Use a variety of hand tools and equipment to perform maintenance and repair tasks.
• Work independently to prioritize and complete assigned tasks efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, ventilation, painting, and general building maintenance.
• Experience with a variety of hand tools.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• 1-2 years of experience in building maintenance or a related field is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects as needed.
• Comfortable working in various environments and conditions, including outdoors and confined spaces.
