Youth Advocate Program- YAP Youth Advocate in Erie County, New York

Buffalo, NY. Youth Advocate Program- YAP. Youth Advocate. PT. Benefits. $16.50/Hour.

As a youth advocate you will play a crucial role in supporting and empowering young individuals as they navigate their way through various challenges, providing guidance, resources, and mentorship to ensure they reach their full potential by creating a safe and inclusive environment where young people can thrive and flourish.

Applicant must be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in the community, school and home settings. The Primary responsibilities of the Advocate are to initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned clients and their families. All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.

Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources. Experience working with youth and children.
