Tanto Irrigation, LLC Groundskeeper: Irrigation Worker in Elmsford, New York

Groundskeeper/Irrigation Wrkr: 20 fulltime, temporary, peakload (H-2B) jobs available 02/01/2025-12/01/2025.

Employer: Tanto Irrigation, 5 N. Payne St, Elmsford, NY 10523.

Duties: Gather & remove litter/debris. Install irrigation & drainage systems. Maintain systems, including winterizing, starting them up in spring. Use irrigation methods to adjust the amount of water consumption and to prevent waste. Spread straw over seeded soil to hold soil in place. Digging: use hand tools: shovels. Irrigate lawns, trees, or plants & other related Groundskeeper: Irrigation Wrkr activities as per SOC/OES (37-3011 onetonline.org)

Transport provided, designated locale to job site from 5 North Payne Street, Elmsford, NY 10523.

Requirements: Perform physical activities: such as lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, manipulate materials use static strength to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, carry objects up to 50lbs. Outdoors, exposed to weather; must be capable of doing physically strenuous labor for long hours, occasionally in extreme heat or cold. Excessive mud & standing water.

No education or experience is required. Employer will provide on-the-job training, & accept a trainee.

Work days: Mon-Fri, 7:30am-5:30pm, 40+ hours/week to include lunch breaks at $21.87-$37.50our. Depending on experience, wage may vary. OT available at $32.81-$56.25/hour. OT possible but not required or guaranteed. Hours may fluctuate. Cash advances may apply at employer's discretion.

The wage(s) offered equal(s) or exceed(s) the highest of the prevailing wage or the Federal, State, or local minimum wage. Possible weekend/holiday work. Varied weather. Possible downtime/OT. OT not required. This employer will also comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws pertaining to overtime hours.

Employer to provide all tools, supplies and equipment without charge or deposit.

Employer will use single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Workers will be paid weekly on Fri. Employer will make all deductions required by law.

The worker is guaranteed employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of each 12-week period.

Employer will reimburse the H-2B worker in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker (not including passport). Will reimburse each worker for transportation and subsistence from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer, whether in the U.S. or abroad, to the place of employment, by check within the first workweek.

Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59 per day with receipts.
