Are you a detail-oriented and customer-focused professional looking to support patient access in a dynamic healthcare setting? Arnot Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative for our Outpatient Services team. This critical role ensures smooth patient registration, insurance verification, and billing while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and excellent patient service.
Your Schedule:Full-Time
Overnights, occasional rotational shifts
14% shift differential for overnight shifts
Every other weekend and holiday required
What You’ll Do:
As a Patient Access Representative, you will play a key role in facilitating seamless patient experiences by:
Patient Registration & Documentation: Accurately registering patients, ensuring all necessary forms, consents, and financial documents are completed.
Billing & Financial Responsibilities: Collecting co-pays, deductibles, and other patient cost-sharing amounts, referring patients to financial assistance when needed, and ensuring proper documentation.
Order Entry & Scheduling: Processing orders for various services, reconciling scheduled appointments, and ensuring proper authorization for procedures.
Insurance Verification: Utilizing insurance tools to confirm coverage and maintain accuracy in patient records.
Switchboard & Communication Support: Answering calls, coordinating codes, and directing patients and visitors as needed.
Administrative & Training Support: Assisting with mail distribution, inventory, and training new staff while complying with hospital policies and procedures.
Quality & Compliance: Maintaining high standards for patient interactions and complying with all mandatory training, safety, and attendance policies.
What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications include:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: At least six months of healthcare, finance, collections, or billing experience preferred. Medical terminology, coding, and/or Epic experience is a plus.
Skills: Excellent communication, customer service, and computer proficiency.
Expectations: Goal setting, active participation in training, and accountability for job performance.
Physical Demands:
Light physical activity, including sitting, walking, and computer use.
Regular interaction with patients and staff.
