Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing commercial exterior façade systems, ensuring precision and alignment. They will measure, cut, and shape materials according to project specifications, operate hand and power tools efficiently, and read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial exterior façade systems, ensuring precision and alignment.

• Measure, cut, and shape materials according to project specifications.

• Operate hand, power tools, and equipment to complete installations efficiently.

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and instructions.

Essential Skills

• 3-5 years of commercial carpentry experience.

• OSHA 10 certification.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (blueprints).

• Willingness to travel for projects.

• Proficiency in carpentry, finish carpentry, wall paneling, framing, and rough carpentry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Applicants must provide their own hand tools necessary for completing tasks efficiently.

• Personal transportation is required to commute to and from various job sites.

Work Environment

Work will be conducted at various job sites across Elmira, Syracuse, Albany, and Northern PA. The standard work hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with the possibility of overtime. Candidates may be required to stay overnight on some projects or travel to job sites each day. Mileage and other travel expenses will be covered by the company. Employees will generally be home on most nights and weekends.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elmira, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
