JOB SUMMARY

 

 

 

The Senior Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on production equipment and coordinating outside contractors as required.

 

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 

 

The Sr. Maintenance Technician shall, at a minimum, be responsible for the following functions;

 

 

Perform highly diversified duties to install, repair, and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment.

Must be well versed to perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.

Repairs of building and associated mechanical systems

Scheduling and supervision of outside contractors

Maintains records for all repairs and maintenance of production equipment

Obtains estimates from outside contractors to perform equipment and/or building modifications and repairs

Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

 

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

 

 

 

High school diploma required, technical college preferred

Valid Driver's License required

Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings

Ability to read and understand electrical schematics

Minimum 7 years' experience hands-on equipment repair

Industrial Electrical panel building experience

 

 

SKILLS & ABILITIES

 

 

 

Knowledge of extrusion processing equipment,

Must be able to program/troubleshoot and maintain electronic control

systems including PLCs and Temperature control units.

Experienced working with building electrical to 480 VDC.

Knowledge and experience of facility utilities mechanical and electrical systems.

Experience in manual and computer-based documentation control

and development,

Ability to communicate well in person, in writing, and by telephone with customers and other company personnel.

Must be a team player, as well as being able to work independently.
