Processor/Sorter position description/responsibilities

• Unpack, scan and label small to medium sized packages and parts.

• Create shipping labels and documentation as required using various shipping systems including UPS, USPS and our own proprietary system.

• Scan and label inbound freight from a tractor-trailer to allow forklift operators to unload and stage.

• Assist in the manual loading of box trucks assisted by the use of pallet jacks.

• Band crates to pallets in a safe and secure manner.

• Sorting and staging of newly labeled packages by city, location, coding, etc.

• Use proper methods and equipment to document all damaged cartons.

• Build pallets in a manner that protects the freight and prevents damage.

• Perform inventory count based on packing slips when loading and unloading freight and when

• Maintain good housekeeping around work area.

• Have knowledge of and utilize safe, efficient freight handling and lifting procedures.

• Other warehouse duties/ projects as assigned by management. Requirements:

• HS Diploma and Equivalent

• Must be flexible and able to work required overtime when needed

• Timely and efficiently completion of tasks and responsibilities

• Excellent attendance history/record • Promotes teamwork and cooperative efforts

• Must be able to perform basic arithmetical calculations including addition, subtractions, division and multiplication

• Must be able to interact well with others

• Must be capable of working under tight constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

• Regularly lift and/or move objects up to 20 lbs., occasionally lifting and/or moving objects that weigh more than 70 lbs.

Pay Details: $16.50 per hour
