Description

Nick Corieri with Robert Half has an exciting Controller hiring need for one of his company clients in Syracuse, NY. The role entails overseeing the accounting functions of a company, managing daily accounting processes, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and financial analysis. The position will also play an integral role in projects to modernize the accounting processes of the company. The position will report directly to the CFO and will manage a small staff.

Responsibilities:

• Direct accounting functions for company including management of daily accounting processes

• Oversee financial reporting, account reconciliations, and financial analysis

• Manage processes that directly support the operational team including revenue and accounts receivable, timesheet reporting, accounts payable, purchasing and job order costing

• Play an integral role in projects to modernize the accounting processes of the company

• Utilize accounting software systems and ERP solutions for efficient management of accounting functions

• Apply knowledge of ADP - Financial Services and DCAA regulations in managing financial processes

• Ensure maintenance of internal controls

• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)

• Conduct auditing and manage budget processes

• Utilize skills in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions for efficient management of resources.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller position within the Information Technology industry

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with DCAA regulations and requirements

• Knowledge in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proven track record in Auditing

• Experience in Budget Processes

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required

• Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, even under pressure.
