Key Objective(s):

The main purpose of the Ride Maintenance Supervisor is:

  • To lead the Ride Maintenance Team Leads and Technicians in the maintenance of all Nickelodeon Universe and Dream Works Water Park rides and attractions.

  • To ensure the highest level of workplace and guest safety.

    Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all rides and facilities are ready for safe operation prior to opening to team members or guests using checklists, procedures, and best practices.

  • Lead the training and activities of the Ride Maintenance Technicians.

  • Lead the scheduling, planning, and organizing of staff, equipment and parts to complete routine and emergency repairs and maintenance, ensuring effective use of company resources to achieve maximum benefit.

  • Plan and perform scheduled ride and equipment rehabilitations and ensure timely completion.

  • Provide positive and effective leadership through communication, motivation, and evaluation, address any employee concerns.

  • Assign tasks, utilizing the work order system, as needed to facilitate safe and timely operation of all areas.

  • Review the quality of work performed by subordinate staff and provide feedback.

  • Troubleshoot and maintain all rides and attractions within the scope of normal park operations.

  • Ensure the overall safety of the immediate work area as well as surrounding areas.

  • Always provide outstanding internal and external guest service.

  • Conduct periodic employee performance reviews and appraisals.

  • Complete departmental forms and reports.

  • Process time and attendance reports and submit to the payroll department for processing.

  • Support all company and departmental policies and procedures.

  • Maintain Safety certifications through ASTM recognized national organizations (AIMS, NAARSO, etc.).

  • Additional duties as assigned by leadership.

    Desired Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum of a two-year technical degree in a mechanical/electrical field required.

  • Minimum of five years working experience in a mechanical or electrical field.

  • At least three years leadership experience.

  • Working knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comfort working at heights.

  • Current Level 1 certification from a recognized nation safety organization (AIMS, NAARSO, etc.) or willingness to take certification examination/s.

  • Practiced experience in mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics and welding as applied to large machinery, amusements rides and facilities.

  • Ability to work varied shifts to include, nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Practical knowledge of sound leadership principles.

  • Working knowledge of Windows programs including but not limited to Excel and Word.

  • Practical knowledge of Programable Logic Controllers (PLCs)

  • Working knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) programs.

  • Effective and professional verbal and written communication required.
