IT System Administrator

We have an opportunity for an IT System Administrator, Senior to join our team in East Farmingdale, NY

As our Senior IT System Administrator, you will deploy operating systems and software, support end users, maintain all aspects of the active directory domain and periodic maintenance. This is an integral role for our business.

Location: East Farmingdale, NY

Salary information: $78,800.00 -100,000.00

Your Challenge:

  • Deploy and maintain all aspects of a Windows Active Directory Domain

  • Deploy operating systems and software

  • Maintain a Bitlocker Endpoint Encryption environment

  • Maintain VmWare ESXi and vCenter Environments

  • Knowledge of OpenVPN

  • Primary representative for customer and DSS audits

  • Maintain and create system documentation

  • Purchase network equipment, client hardware and software

  • Maintain budgets

  • Support end users

  • Perform security related self-assessments

  • Work with customers to ensure compliance with security standards

  • Provide security related training for users

  • Perform periodic maintenance including:

  • Antivirus updates

  • Windows OS Updates via WSUS

  • Monitor event logs via SIEM

  • Filesystem permissions

  • Service and user password rollovers

  • Vulnerability scanning

  • Dell switch management

  • Monitoring and testing Veeam backups

  • Complete weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual security checklists

What you Bring:

  • Active Security Clearance required.

  • Bachelor's degree in job related area or 5+ years of relevant experience

  • Strong technical knowledge of network and PC, operating systems and hardware.

  • Strong knowledge of local area network administration.

  • Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.

  • Strong customer service orientation.

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
