Senior Estimator for Judlau Contracting, Inc. to work at our East Elmhurst, NY loc. Dev pricing strategies for assigned scopes + price bid. Conduct field visits to gather relv data on proj site conditions, verify prod rate + learn new constr techniques. Serve as lead estimator, leading project bids w/ responsibility for all project price + doc submittals. Make decisions to mitigate + price risks. Interface w/ Procurement dept to address risks or issues w/ subcontractor or vendor contracts. Coord w/ Bus Dvlpmnt, Eng’ring + Ops teams to determine final bid price + construction methodology. Draft proposals per RFP specs w/ detailed construction methodology + timeline. Instruct jr estimators re supporting tasks for each bid. Manage rel’ship w/ client eng’r during project, + w/ contracted designer in design-build projects. Coord + determine design requests given tech parameters. Employees must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Little domestic travel may be involved. Salary range is $120,000-$170,000 per year. Must have Bach in Civil Eng’ring, Construction Management, Architecture, or rel field and 4 yrs rel estimating exp.
