Their services include Business Taxes, State & Local tax, International Tax, R&D Tax Credit, Private Client services.As a Tax Supervisor in our Financial Services Industry Team, you'll work alongside an integrated team of seasoned, well-known tax industry leaders. In this position, you will take a lead role on all aspects of tax engagements, supervise/mentor staff, and build/maintain relationships with clients. How you’ll spend your time:Communicating and working directly with high level client personnel, firm audit and tax senior managers, directors and partnersBeing involved in all aspects of the financial services tax engagements, which includes hedge funds, private equity investment funds and broker dealersHandling high level technical and compliance issues, tax policies, and proceduresProviding financial services expertise involving tax research and application of specialize industry knowledge and accounting principlesResearching and drafting memorandum involving complex tax mattersIdentifying and implementing tax planning opportunitiesTraining and supervision of staff accountants on financial service engagementsThe kinds of people we want to talk to have many of the following:Bachelor's degree in accounting and have a CPA licenseHaving a Master’s of Science in Taxation is a plus5+ years prior experience working in the tax department of a public accounting firmStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively with all levels of staff, both independently and as part of a teamMust have experience in the financial services industry The compensation for this position will vary by location. In addition to the base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance. Final offer amounts are based on multiple factors such as the specific role, hiring location, as well as the individual’s skills, experience and qualifications.
