Job Title: Utility Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Utility Technician to join our team in East Brunswick, NJ. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation of drainage pipes, storm drains, water drains, sewage drains, and overall pipe installation projects in New Jersey. This position involves working under the direction of the Director of Civil Construction and New Commercial Construction.

Responsibilities

• Install drainage pipes, storm drains, water drains, and sewage drains.

• Execute overall pipe installation projects.

• Work under the direction of the Director of Civil Construction and New Commercial Construction.

• Maintain excellent organizational skills and ability to follow directions.

• Communicate effectively with other employees.

• Understand and comply with OSHA regulations to maintain a safe work environment.

• Operate heavy equipment as needed.

• Install underground utilities, including storm drains, sewer mains, and water mains.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in construction and heavy equipment operation.

• Experience in blueprint reading and pipe laying.

• Knowledge of underground utilities, drainage pipes, and pipe installation.

• Understanding of energy systems and utility work.

• Experience with storm drains, water drains, and sewage drains.

• Valid driver’s license.

• OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency with using lasers for pipe leveling.

• Experience with Mini Excavator and Skid Steer equipment is a plus.

• OSHA certifications are a plus.

Work Environment
