The Team: Fisher-Price's design internship program is set-up to provide a real-world design experience for students, one that will prepare them for post-graduation employment in the profession of industrial design. As an Intern, you will work alongside experienced designers and have daily interaction with a cross functional team of engineers, child research experts, marketing team members, artists, and product safety experts. This exposure to various disciplines allows our interns to learn and understand the multiple perspectives required in the process of designing successful products for children and parents alike! The Opportunity: Our Product Design Interns participate in all aspects of the design process including: research, ideation, presentation, concept refinement, testing, rendering, and 3D modeling (both computer & traditional). You'll have the opportunity to work with a team of talented designers, contribute your ideas, and make an impact on our business! What Your Impact Will Be: * Interns are mentored on all facets of the product design process, working first hand with a team of design, marketing, and engineering professionals to develop product. This process focuses on developing products that aid children in their developmental milestones, is efficiently manufactured, and represents white space in the current market at a price point that denotes good price value to the customer. * Interns are also given the resources and opportunities as well as a team of design mentors to help them develop skills in the many aspects of design, including drawing, rendering, and 3-D modeling (both computer and physical). * Our Internships also give students a valuable opportunity to hone their presentation skills. #MattelInterns What We're Looking For: Emotional Maturity: You demonstrate strong self-awareness and self-management, as well as awareness of own impact on others.
