Aerotek Electronics Assembler in East Aurora, New York

Job Title: Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and multitasking Assembler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for packaging and assembling various products such as flashlight battery packs for commercial flights, first aid and survival kits, and demo bags for flight attendants.

Responsibilities

  • Read work orders and follow production drawings and sample assemblies to make panel parts.

  • Follow written and verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.

  • Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) safely.

  • Maintain a safe and clean environment.

  • Position and align parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding device.

  • Crimp, stake, screw, bolt, rivet, weld, solder, cement, press fit, or perform similar operations to join or secure parts in place.

  • Mount assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets on chassis panel.

  • Install finished assemblies or sub-assemblies in cases/external hardware.

  • Assemble and attach hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches to assemblies.

Work Environment

Our facility is well-lit, very quiet, temperature-controlled, and static-controlled. You will work in a bench setting with a team lead or supervisor close by. Shifts include first shift (6am-3:30pm), second shift (3:15pm-12:45am)

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Aurora, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $21.50
