• Ensures that student growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for age group, subject area, and/or program classification.

• Assumes responsibility for meeting his/her course and school-wide goals.

• Demonstrates gains in student performance.

• Participates in training and staff development presentations.

• Meets professional obligations through efficient work habits such as meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating, and attending meetings.

• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the principal.

• Updates computer skills to match District expectations for attendance, grade reporting, and school master needs.

• Knowledge of internet and web-related technologies.

• Uses a variety of techniques to assess student proficiency.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Masters, or Doctorate degree

• Certified by NYS in discipline or teaching area
