POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs routine manual labor tasks in maintaining Neshaminy Manor areas and offices of the complex in attractive, clean and sanitary conditions.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs germicidal cleaning of Neshaminy Manor furniture, miscellaneous equipment and built-in units in residents' living areas.
  • Sweeps and mops all floors and stair areas and strips and waxes floors.
  • Empties trash baskets and ashtrays and dusts furniture, baseboards, windowsills, etc.
  • Washes walls and light fixtures as required.
  • Cleans lavatories and bathrooms and maintains supplies for them.
  • Periodically removes and rehangs curtains and draperies for washing and/or dry cleaning.
  • Cleans outside patio and exit areas.
  • Employees may be required to perform additional work that follows prescribed or well-established procedures that can be learned within a reasonable time by training on the job.  More detailed instructions as to the nature of their duties will be given to employees at the beginning of work.
