AGC Chemicals Americas, Inc., in Downingtown, PA is looking for safety minded individuals to join our unionized production team. This is a physically strenuous position that includes standing, walking, bending, going up and down stairs, as well as handling drums that weigh up to 225 pounds is required.

Mechanical aptitude to disassemble and re-assemble machinery and equipment with trouble shooting ability. Ability to safely operate a forklift truck are also required.

The openings are for off shift positions dependant upon seniority shift request. (3rd shift aa pm - 7 am or 2nd shift 3pm - 11:00 pm).

Must be available for daily overtime twice a week as well as scheduled weekend overtime.  

Starting hourly rate is $20.00 per hour. After 1 year,  the rate increases to $29.11.  Shift Differential for 3rd shift is $1.50 per hour and for 2nd shift is its $1.00 per hour.

There is a 60 working day probationary period. Once successfully completed, employee is eligible for medical benefits and 401(k) with company match, paid sick days and holidays.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English. 
• Ability to follow written instructions.
• Basic arithmetic skills.  Ability to add, multiply, and subtract. 
• Ability to read and record part numbers, lot numbers, and instrument displays.
• Good interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to function as part of a team.
• Mechanical aptitude: ability to disassemble and re-assemble machinery and equipment.Troubleshooting ability would be a plus.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift truck. 
• Ability to complete physically strenuous labor that includes standing and going up and down stairs as well as handling drums that can weigh 225 pounds or more.
