The Children's Village Specialized Treatment Program Manager in Dobbs Ferry, New York

Job Details Description Position Overview:

The primary task is ensure the quality of the therapeutic milieu provided to the youth served in the Jackson RIC and Rose Cottage. The Specialized Treatment Manager carries out direct supervision and program oversight with the Manager of Psychiatric Technicians/Supervisors and staff to ensure a therapeutic and supportive environment is provided for youth with emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric issues that meets their developmental needs. The Manager carries out tasks to meet the mandates of OCFS, ACS, LDSS, and OMH as well as the mission of the organization.

The Specialized Treatment Manager shows dedication and willingness to work alongside the Integrated Treatment Model (ITM), supporting and carrying out the functions of the model to best serve the population. The Specialized Treatment Manager is expected to have a nonjudgmental approach that focuses on skill building and basic principles of behavior (reinforcement, extinction, blocking and shaping). The Specialized Treatment Manager is required to function as part of a team, committing to modeling pro social behavior and building positive relationships with all residents.

Position Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in social work, Counseling, or related field and 2 years supervisory experience in residential OR HS Diploma/equivalent, some college and 5 years residential supervisory experience, required. Some OMH experience preferred Valid NYS Drivers License, required. Literacy in EXCEL, WORD, OUTLOOK. Ability to present self in a highly professional/engaging manner and work independently. Experience in independent living skills development, 3 years minimum, preferred. Experience in running groups/workshops. Training/knowledge in treating youth with histories of sexual harm and conflict/behavior management. Bi-lingual (Spanish), ideal.
