Primary Role The Production Mechanic may be assigned to perform any responsibilities that lie within the capability of the employee based on experience, knowledge, qualifications, and training.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * The Production Mechanic must possess a working knowledge of water treatment operations including, but not limited to, instruments, hydraulic, chemical, mechanical and electrical equipment, and processes as well operational laboratory procedures. * The individual must possess an understanding of the distribution system network including, not limited to, gradients, capacities, interconnections, mapping, service territory, and facility locations to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the water and wastewater facilities and related appurtenances. * The individual must possess a working knowledge of Company policies, procedures, and safety practices as well as State and Federal rules and regulations applicable to their area of responsibility. * The Production Mechanic must be capable of operating equipment and vehicles necessary for the completion of assignments and maintain a valid motor vehicle CDL license with Hazardous Material, tanker, and air brake endorsements. * The individual must successfully obtain and maintain 40-Hour Hazwoper certification with associated annual physicals including respirator medical evaluations, and must be able to perform the essential functions and meet the physical requirements for a Production Mechanic I-IV.
