POSITION TITLE: Industrial HygienistDEPARTMENT: Safety Professional GroupLOCATION: Deepwater, New JerseySALARY RANGE: $90,000 - $120,000 annual (excludes any potential overtime compensation)JOB NUMBER: 2025-G334-01DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:Sevenson Environmental Services is currently seeking a skilled Industrial Hygienist to join our team to support a complex environmental remediation project in Deepwater, New Jersey. In this role, you will be responsible determining exposure monitoring strategies from site historical data and laboratory data from remedial investigations and waste characterization samples and modify those strategies as required by real time data and integrated sampling results. This position reports directly to Sevenson’s Director of Health and Safety and indirectly to the Project Manager. The daily duties typically include:•Assist the Safety and Health Manager in preparing exposure monitoring plans for project, non-project, and the public•Perform comprehensive industrial hygiene assessments on all available soil, water, and air sample data•Review real time air monitoring results and prepare daily summaries•Review and validate integrated air sample data and compare results to project action and exposure limits•Prepare monthly perimeter air monitoring reports•Interface with site workers and client representatives to discuss exposure monitoring results•Ensure other safety professionals assigned to the site are conducting air monitoring as described in air monitoring plans as well as EPA and NIOSH sampling methodsSKILLS/EXPERIENCE:•Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) through the Board for Global EHS Credentialing (formerly American Board of Industrial Hygiene) preferred•Possess B.S. or M.S. degree in industrial hygiene, chemistry, or related discipline•Minimum of six years performing air monitoring and/or exposure assessments on HAZWOPER or similar CERCLA sites or complex chemical facilities•Ability to pass a background check and urine drug screen•OSHA 30-hour OSHA Construction and General Industry Outreach Course•OSHA 40 hour and subsequent 8-hour refresher HAZWOPER training•Must have a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record (motor vehicle record review as a condition of employment)•Must be able to pass HAZWOPER physical•Designed safety sensitive position, medical, or recreational marijuana not permitted•Proficient in MS Word and Excel as well as Adobe ProSALARY/BENEFITS:An employee’s salary is based on commensurate experience and other qualifications.
