West Penn Manufacturing Technologies, LLC (WPMT) is a specialized manufacturer located in Cresson, PA. We specialize in short run "Job Shop" work across multiple industries. We are currently seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with experience in Haas controls to join our team.

*Position Overview:*

The CNC Machinist will be responsible for operating 3-axis and 5-axis Haas CNC machines. The ideal candidate will have experience with Haas controls and a strong understanding of CNC machining processes. This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-quality parts.

*Key Responsibilities:*

• Set up and operate 3-axis and 5-axis Haas CNC machines.

• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

• Load and unload materials and tools into the CNC machines.

• Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency.

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines.

• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Collaborate with the production team to optimize workflows and processes.

   

*Qualifications:*

• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, specifically with Haas controls.

• Strong understanding of CNC machining processes.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

• Familiarity with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

• Excellent attention to detail and quality.

• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong communication skills.

   

*Preferred Qualifications:*

• Experience with Haas controls preferred

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Knowledge of vertical milling best practice.
