Responsibilities

Production Technician I (2nd Shift - 3pm-11pm)

 

We are looking to hire Productions Associates for our Cranberry, PA manufacturing plant.

 

Working hours are 2nd Shift - 3pm-11pm Monday through Friday

 

Starting pay $21.38/hr. + $1.00 shift differential

 

The responsibilities of this position are primarily to:

  • * Assemble and test (including set-up), moderately complex instruments and/or sub-assemblies requiring wiring and soldering
  • * May be required to pick parts from the warehouse
  • * Produce customized instruments to customer specifications (assemble to order)
  • * Package and ship instruments according to customer specifications
  • * Generate delivery notes and determine method of shipping
  • * Transfer material to shipping dock
  • * Perform visual inspections and minor repairs and rework
  • * Complete and maintain relevant paperwork and input information in computer system

``` - * Ability to read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures - * Ability to understand standard units of measure and set-up and interpret results of various measuring devices - * Ability to perform standard software operations including UPS - * Must attain ability to perform complex SAP transactions - * Ability to infrequently stand in a stationary position and lift, carry, push and pull up to 40 pounds without assistance - * Ability to regularly perform work that requires magnification - * Ability to use power and hand tools, custom tooling and to operate a pallet jack - * Strong manual dexterity for use of tools and performing work on small components requiring fine finger manipulation and hand steadiness - * Ability to effectively communicate with various levels within the organization including training of new associates and temporary agency assignments - * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and prioritize and organize work - * Must attain Hazardous Material certification - * Operate at a level that meets or exceeds quality and productivity standards for the work area - * Ability to work in a team environment - * Willingness to work on various product groups and work flexible shifts - * Ability to wear ANSI Z87 approved safety glasses and other PPE as required per Job Safety Analysis

 

Qualifications

Education and Experience Required:

  • * High School Diploma or equivalent
  • * Minimum 3 months electronics manufacturing or other related experience

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • * Past soldering experience
