Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will provide essential maintenance support to the production team, aiming to minimize downtime. Your responsibilities include completing daily preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance as needed. You will ensure a safe and clean work environment by following and enforcing safety policies and procedures. Key tasks involve troubleshooting electrical and electronic components, maintaining parts inventory, completing necessary paperwork and data entry, and assisting in training coworkers. You will also be responsible for ensuring work orders are completed satisfactorily or solutions are reached. Additional duties may be assigned by management.

Hard Skills

  • Troubleshooting drives and PLCs

  • Reading mechanical diagrams and electrical schematics

  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems

  • Electro-mechanical tech skills

  • Experience with GMPs or Food Manufacturing

  • Rewiring a 3 phase motor

  • Experience in high-speed packaging

Soft Skills

  • Strong attendance

  • Excellent work ethic

  • Ability to train others

  • Adherence to safety protocols

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Mcdonough, Georgia.

Work Environment

Industrial food manufacturing site, climate controlled. Shifts available are 2-2-3 schedule, ensuring a 3-day weekend every other weekend. Day shifts (4 am - 4:15 pm) pay $29.50 per hour and night shifts (4 pm - 4:15 am) pay $30.50 per hour, with potential to pay up to $35+ per hour for highly qualified candidates.
