Job purpose: Drive Definition and Strategy for Automation for the Secondary Processes & Robotics (Biopharm DP, Vx Secondary, Small molecules Secondary, Warehouse & Product move control, Laboratories) aligned with Smart Manufacturing vision for GSC. Lead the Secondary Processes Automation & Robotics community across the GSC and set up ambitious goals to improve productivity, quality, safety and sustainability, by establishing the standards on the right technologies, setting up priorities in alignment with Smart Manufacturing goals Key responsibilities: Define Technologies and Strategy for the Secondary Processes Automation & Robotics in GSC Contribute in "Smart Engineering" programme to align with GSC Engineering Digital & Automation Strategy driving step changes towards a GSK "Smart Manufacturing" facility of the future model Lead the Secondary Processes Automation & Robotics community in cooperation with Site Automation Heads, Site Engineering Directors and Functional global engineering leaders Define organizational blueprint, people and capabilities and associated training programs and drive delivery of it Set priorities in support with GSC Strategic Objectives Define standards for priority technologies to improve productivity quality, safety, and sustainability by elimination of manual activities, elimination of paper, and digitalization of process Define the Roadmap for execution, and create the processes to translate the roadmap into action Define the set of technical standards and holistic automation architecture in the area of responsibility Drive alignment and convergence of technologies and processes with Tech and rest of A&ETS and leverage synergies Basic Qualifications: University Degree - Area of Specialisation: Automation, electronics, robotics, digital technologies 5 years in a global role, leading a network through influence 5 years of experience in Automation / Digital related disciplines preferably in the pharmaceutical industry but not mandatory - open minded for other industries like medical devices, automotive, electronics, aerospace Strong technical savvy person who can understand biological aseptic manufacturing on one hand and is a master in the automation discipline that operates this aseptic process Good experience in qualification and validation Strong leadership skills and experien e in developing people Good negotiator and communicator both with professional level engineers and with leadership Experience acquired in GMP, high hazard process automation environment and advanced knowledge of both topics preferred Ability to lead multidisciplinary operational teams with demonstrated capability to manage by influence Strategic thinking, able to develop a broad and long-term perspective, able to make high level Decisions Business acumen, financial understanding, capability to manage a substantial budget Outstanding communication skills Preferred Qualifications:
