Assistant Residence Manager
Summary of Position:
An employee in this position is responsible for overseeing the compliance to OPWDD regulations and CRVI guidelines assigned to the residence. Responsible for the oversight of the residence, including supervision of staff and maintaining a safe, nurturing
environment for individuals served. Provide direct support and serves as a role model, advocate and teacher for the individuals we support.
Works closely with the Residence Manager to promote an environment that encourages and promotes independence and individualization in all aspects of the individuals’ we support lives.
Responsible for the well-being of the individuals in the residential setting.
Exhibits sensitivity to and respects the rights of the individuals served, including their emotional and physical needs.
Ensures a full range of recreational activities.
Facilitates community integration and inclusion by locating activities of interest to individuals supported while exploring alternate avenues of interest.
Provide training, supervision, assistance and monitoring in areas related to the acquisition and retention of daily living skills and self-care skills.
Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of the Residential Habilitation Plan (RHP) and the Individual Plan of Protective Oversight (IPOP).
Monitor the data collection and ensure the daily billing is submitted in its entirety weekly.
Responsible for ensuring the physical plant environment is maintained at all times, by daily monitoring and ensuring a pleasing living environment.
Provide supervision to the Direct Support Professionals.
Monitor and ensure all staff training/certifications are current at all times.
Assist with the development of the staff schedule and ensure staff minimums are maintained at all times.
Essential Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a Human Service field preferred. Some management or supervisory experience preferred. Have the ability to speak, read, and write English fluently which allows full communication
with people served; CRVI staff; and, 3rd parties. Have the ability to relate appropriately to individuals with developmental disabilities. Computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn to use Precision Care
and other database systems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to use sound judgment while following CRVI policies, practices and procedures. Ability to operate office equipment (including computers). Possess a valid driver
license with a driving record acceptable to CRVI’s insurance carrier and possess the ability to travel to all CRVI sites throughout the areas we serve. Successfully meet all screening requirements (both prior to hire and during employment) as required by
Nonessential Skills and Experience: Prior work experience using Digital Agency (or similar databases).

limited to: laptop and desktop PCs; printers; copiers; projectors; projection screens; sound systems; dvd and vcr players; and, remote controls for electronic equipment. Employees will regularly be required to stand; walk; sit; use hands (or hands and arms)
to carry, finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; crouch and kneel. Employees will also be regularly required to hear (with or without hearing devices), see (with or without corrective lenses)
Working Conditions and Environment: While performing the duties associated with this position, an employee will be in a residential setting; in a van or other vehicle; or, in the community at large. This position requires an employee to
drive the agency vehicle to provide transport to the individuals served. You may need to use their personal vehicle to travel to CRVI sites and elsewhere in performing their job duties. Employees in this position must maintain liability insurance on their
personal vehicle that meets the minimum standards specified by the agency. Mileage reimbursement for use of the personal vehicle will be available pursuant to CRVI’s policies. This position requires an employee to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
In the absence of a Residence Manager, this position may require on-call responsibilities.
Must have valid driver's license that meets agency and insurance company standards. Must pass a criminal background check as required by OPWDD and agency guidelines.
