Job Title: Controls Designer
Job Description
This position is responsible for developing and implementing a wide range of system designs including specification, integration, operation, testing, and evaluation to meet customer requirements for Plant Air Compressor Packages. The role involves close interaction with project engineers and service engineers to ensure the successful execution of projects.
Responsibilities
Develop and understand loop drawings, wiring, and logic diagrams using P&ID drawings.
Work directly and constructively with Engineering and Manufacturing personnel.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure prompt and effective problem-solving of reported issues.
Establish and maintain project schedules to support customer commitments.
Focus on quality and attention to detail.
Assist field service engineers in resolving technical matters.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in Inventor.
1+ years of experience in Controls Design.
Experience with loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and ladder logic.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate's degree in Computer Aided Drafting preferred.
3-5+ years of experience in AutoCAD Electrical and AutoCAD Inventor.
3-5+ years of experience in an Engineering and Manufacturing environment.
Experience with PLC Based Machine Controls and PLC Programming (Siemens and Allen-Bradley preferred).
Experience with rotating machinery is a plus.
Candidates with 20+ years of experience or no degree but with relevant AutoCAD electrical experience will also be considered.

This position works under general supervision of the Controls Engineering Manager and Controls Engineer
