Essential Job Summary:

Welders are a skilled position, welding is not limited to vehicles, containers and compactors but may include vehicles specific to loading and material handling. Welders also assist in ensuring the operations floor is clear of obstacles as you perform general housekeeping duties as assigned. Work with other plant personnel to ensure the facility is operated and maintained in a clean, safe, and efficient manner.

Essential Job Functions: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.

  • Undergeneral supervision:

  • Perform repairs and applywelding processes.

  • Perform related work such as flame cutting, bending, forming, beveling, notching of metal Perform all work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs).

  • Workfrom prints,drawingsand verbal instructions.

  • Perform standard layouts and set-ups of dimensions and tolerances.

  • Utilize standard shop hand tools, measuring devices and equipment.

  • Perform other maintenance related work asrequired.

  • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards.

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Experienceinwelding processes such asMIG,stick, and torch weldingon a variety of materials.

  • Knowledge of safety procedures and practices necessary while operating

  • Skill in operating tools equipment, parts and proceduresutilizedduring the repair

  • Lift 50 lbs
