Job Description:

VNA (Home Care) of WNY Erie Co. Location.

Provides administrative/secretarial support to assigned Administrator/Director. Performs a variety of semi-complex secretarial and administrative functions in support of the effective operation of the section or department and the efficient operations of the organization. Duties are performed under very general supervision in an independent and confidential environment.

Minimum or Preferred Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in Secretarial Science or equivalent education. Pre-hire experience, three to five (3-5) years experience in a professional or administrative secretarial support position. Proficient typing/keyboard skills of 50-60 wpm. Working knowledge of shorthand and ability to transcribe various written materials from a Dictaphone. Comprehensive knowledge of software programs and office equipment including but not limited to Windows, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, data bases, scheduler and email. Must have exceptional ability to communicate effectively and use tact and diplomacy when dealing with others. Ability to address and resolve routine problems without guidance. Ability to use discretion and judgment on a regular basis to address day-to-day issues.

Salary Range:

$20.64-$30.95 per hour Wage will be determined based on factors such as candidate's experience, qualifications, internal equity, and any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
