Summary: As a member of the Martin’s Family, a Receiving Associate a ccurately verifies and keeps records of incoming shipments. Quickly prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties.

Pay rate:

  • $21.26/ hour – Paid Weekly!

  • $3.00/ hour shift differential (required to work 4+ consecutive hours between 3pm-7am)

    Schedule:

  • Tuesday - Saturday 7am- 4pm

  • Days and times are subject to change as business needs change, to include working on Sundays, days off and Holidays.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.

  • Moves ingredients and supplies throughout facility as needed.

  • Receives incoming ingredients adhering to strict protocol regarding food safety and food defense

  • Assists other departments with moving tasks.

  • Unloads and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.

  • Operates forklift to move shipments from receiving platform to storage or work area.

  • Communicates frequently with production personnel to ensure proper replenishment of goods.

  • In conjunction with the Inventory Control Specialist, investigates and remedies inventory discrepancies.

  • Reports food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.

    Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED;

  • Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or

  • Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must have working knowledge of basic computer operations

  • Must be able to work flexible shifts

    Language Skills:

    Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

    Mathematical Skills:

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

    Physical Demands:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to stand; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
