Administrative Assistant/ Receptionist
EAC Network, a not-for-profit social service agency that empowers, assists, and cares for over 62,888 people in need through 100 programs across Long Island and NYC, seeks a Administrative Assistant/ Receptionist to work full time for its Suffolk County Social and Community Justice services programs.
The Administrative Assistant/ Receptionist position is a non-exempt position paying $18-20 per hour at 35 hours per week. The hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9:00AM-5:00PM and the office is located in Central Islip, NY. The role reports to the Division Director.

Primary Purpose of Job:
The Administrative Assistant/Receptionist is responsible for providing reception, administrative and operational support.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Answer, screen and direct phone calls, and perform receptionist functions and general office duties.
Order and maintain inventory of office supplies.
Generate Purchase Orders for programs.
Sort and distribute daily mail; deposit outgoing mail.
Conduct data entry as requested.
Maintain postage meter, copier, fax machine, and conference room calendars.
Maintain office equipment inventory and make service calls as needed.
Order and maintain records of all office needs.
Maintain calendar and schedule use of shared conference rooms.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:
Minimum of one year of prior office work experience required.
Must be proficient in office and computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar program, and e-mail and/or database software skills necessary to perform job responsibilities.
General office skills required including a pleasant phone manner and good organizational and interpersonal skills.
