Responsibilities/ Accountabilities

  • Package pharmaceutical products per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies & procedures in compliance with specifications and regulations established for packaging process.
  • Operate automatic filling, labeling, and sealing equipment.
  • Perform cleaning of the packaging room and equipment.
  • cGMP/Documentation: Perform all functions according to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Accurately and legibly document in applicable Log Books
  • Determine when to stop a line related to safety or quality.
  • Operate automatic packaging equipment.
  • Document packaging activities.
  • Feed filling equipment.
  • Palletize finished products.
  • Perform line cleaning.
  • Segregate waste products and materials.
  • Return unused material/product.
  • Participate in safety related programs and or safety teams as needed.
  • Reconcile product bulk, material, packaging, and printed materials.
  • Enforce and follow safety regulations and ensure the working area is clean.
  • Adhere to Cipla's Safety, Health, and Environmental policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or equivalent

Experience

  • Minimum six (6) months Packaging Operator experience in an automated work environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Packaging Area Standard Operating Procedures and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly, both written and verbally in English

  • Often requires bending and twisting.
  • Standing for prolonged periods of time (up to 8hours).
  • Must be able to work in a noisy work environment (appropriate PPE will be issued).
