Job Description

Position Summary:

This Clinical Trials Division (CTD) FP&A and Systems Analyst will work to provide financial and business insights and analytics across our global business units and functions through the creation and rollout of dynamic dashboards and reporting tools. They will strive to deliver actionable insights and recommendations on the financial performance and will be actively involved in strategy, reporting, and BI solutioning processes to drive transformational change within existing platforms and solutions. The Analyst will be responsible to develop solid cross-functional business partnerships, participate in special projects, and improve processes across an organization with substantial volume and system complexities.

Responsibilities:

  • Through the analysis of FP&A and business process, define requirements for process and system improvements that will deliver centralized reporting solutions

  • Drive commercial, business unit, and divisional standardization of reporting processes, tools, and technologies

  • Identify improvement opportunities in PowerBI and opportunities to consolidate other FP&A reporting environments into common framework(s) and facilitate key business insights.

  • Serve as primary global liaison to the relevant Data Science team and support the technical design, maintenance, on-going development and optimization of the centralized reporting environment

  • Conduct business due diligence on new proposed financial data science initiatives to ensure viability of proceeding; identify benefits and risks; propose recommendations and appropriate risk mitigation solutions for consideration

  • Understand the financial processes, related technical architecture and the flow of information through it

  • Organize and perform all levels of testing and provide rollout support and post-project transition for invoicing solutions.

  • Lead Change Control and release approval of data science solutions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, with experience in Data Sciences and financial reporting systems

  • 5+ years of broad-based business experience within a major, multi-unit company; multi-national experience preferred

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal relationship skills that promote collaboration and visibility across the organization

  • Collaborative style with a demonstrable ability to work within a matrixed environment to influence outcomes and motivate change

  • Flexible with an ability to optimally work across time zones

  • Understanding of finance, accounting, and impact to reporting systems

  • Proficient at understanding and proactively communicating the implications of business decisions and dynamics

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in finance-focused BI reporting

  • Experience providing report outs for large data sets and a passion for efficient, effective data solutions

  • Organized, meticulous, self-starter with ability to maintain accuracy of information and meet reporting requirements

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work based on business needs

  • Coding skills such as SQL, Python or VBA considered advantageous
