The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive learning environment and guiding students through their academic journey. This role requires a strong commitment to student development, effective classroom management, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning needs.Responsibilities •Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards. •Utilize various teaching strategies to address different learning styles and abilities. •Assess student progress through standardized testing and ongoing evaluations. •Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting a respectful and inclusive environment. •Provide support for students with developmental disabilities, ensuring their educational needs are met. •Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and share best practices. •Maintain open communication with parents regarding student performance and behavioral health. •Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and practices.Experience •A degree in Education or a related field is required; teaching certification preferred. •Experience in classroom management and working with children, particularly those with behavioral or developmental disabilities, is highly desirable. •Familiarity with curriculum development and standardized testing processes is beneficial. •Strong skills in math, proofreading, childcare, and behavioral therapy will enhance the effectiveness of the candidate in this role. Salary: $47,210-$70,250Qualifications:Certification/License: - New York State Certification as a Special Education Teacher or as required for position. - Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation. Education: - Bachelors from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment. - Masters Degree preferred.
