We manufacture the superconducting wire commonly used in healthcare and scientific instrumentation, particularly in the field of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) magnets. These are used for big science projects like the Large Hadron Collider at Cern, Switzerland.

This position will operate machinery and/or equipment to produce & inspect quality wire per Bruker OST specifications.

Hours 3pm-11:30pm

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

    Complete accurate documentation and record keeping on production operator logs.
  • Ensure all assigned machines are operating safely, efficiently and reliably, according to recommended operating guidelines(MSIs)
  • Comply with company safety standards and procedures.
  • Informs maintenance team of any needed machine repairs or concerns.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on all the machines within respective workstations.
  • Ensures safe working practices are being followed.
  • Participates Bruker OST's on-boarding efforts by participating in activities that supports the training of others
  • Actively engages with quality and process engineers to assist and implement operational changes in compliance with established MSI standards.
  • Performs regular quality control throughout the shift and visual quality checks
  • Performs necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment start up on multiple pieces of equipment.
  • Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops
  • Sets up and operates automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation.
  • Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications.
  • Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment.
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Eligible to work in the USA
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Ability to read and interpret procedures and calibrated equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand all safety operating procedures and to use all safety features and equipment.
