Veralto General Accountant in Carlstadt, New Jersey

WHO WE ARE:

X-RITE PANTONE is the leader in color science and technology offering end-to-end solutions for the selection, communication, formulation, and production of consistent and achievable color.

  • Manage Royalty revenue recognition.

  • Monitor each contract to ensure accurate revenue recognition monthly.

  • Track payment for each contract.

  • Maintain royalty files and ensure accurate records of revenue recognition and payments.

  • Reconcile deferred revenue with royalty accounts payable.

  • Update files for any newly added contracts.

  • Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure proper documentation and record-keeping.

  • Support the global monthly and quarterly close process.

  • Assess accruals for both monthly and quarterly close, including PO and non PO accrual.

  • Review prepaid expenses, customer deposits, and deferred revenue.

  • Analyze and reclassify account balances or expenses.

  • Post Journal entries.

  • Perform assigned Account Reconciliations.

  • Aid in collecting necessary documents and prepare files for filing German and UK VAT

  • Ensure adherence to relevant internal controls and corporate policies. Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.

  • Other activities and projects as directed.

  • Has excellent organizational and time management.

  • Draws insightful conclusions from various information/data.

  • Can succeed in a team environment.

  • Detail-oriented.

  • Proficient in Excel (Advanced user) and Office.

  • A self-starter who manages their priorities and deadlines

YOUR EDUCATION AND BACKGROUND EXPERIENCE WILL INCLUDE:

  • Three-plus years of related work experience, Experience in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporation operating under Sarbanes-Oxley preferred.

  • Experience with large integrated financial systems such as Oracle/MAPICS, including demonstrated understanding of subledger and general ledger transactions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate with Associates at all levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrated accounting, analytical and leadership skills.

  • Ability to adapt to new situations and apply critical thinking to solve problems.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $80,000 - $85,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
