Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Maintenance Mechanic and contribute to the success of our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will plan, layout, perform, and oversee various work assignments including machining, welding, electrical tasks, pipefitting, and other general maintenance duties. You will install, erect, assemble, level, and align all machinery and equipment in the plant or office settings. Your responsibilities will also include ordering and picking up parts, making sketches for repair parts or fabrication, operating shop equipment, and maintaining electrical components. Additionally, you will calibrate scales and equipment, repair material handling equipment, and follow all maintenance manuals, service manuals, blueprints, and sketches. Occasional duties like snow removal and grass mowing may also be required during downtime.

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

Work Environment

The plant features 70 feet silos which may require climbing. This is a tobacco-free plant. Work shifts are second shift from Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM to 11:00 PM. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered, and pay is biweekly. Safety orientations and training will be provided, especially when working with 480V and higher voltages. A 90-day probationary period applies, with initial training likely during daylight hours for 1 to 6 months.
