Looking for an interesting and unique career in the building trades? We have one or two openings for an Energy Auditor - analyzing buildings and designing work scopes for our crews. Specific experience is not necessary, as we will train the right people with interest, aptitude and general experience. This is a field position that will require several months in the trenches with the crew while training, to fully grasp our work scopes. 

Description of Duties

  • Perform energy audits, energy education and quality control inspections for individual customers and for utility funded weatherization programs.
  • Candidate must have an understanding of building components with a strong technical aptitude (carpentry, electric, plumbing and HVAC).
  • Ability to analyze customer's energy usage.
  • Capable of communicating effectively with a broad range of customers and co-workers and have good people skills.
  • Ability to learn to use a variety of diagnostic tools including being able to perform blower door (air leakage) testing, duct leakage testing and combustion safety testing.
  • Familiarity with computers for documentation purposes as well as the ability to learn weatherization software programs.
  • Estimating and proposal writing for weatherization and insulation services for customers.
  • Physical ability to investigate attics and crawlspaces.
  • Willingness to participate in administrative and warehouse duties as assigned
  • Must receive hands-on and classroom training for certification
  • Must clear a criminal background check and have a valid driver's license.
  • Extensive driving is often required while on the job in a company vehicle.
  • Experience preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate
  • This is a full-time position with regular working hours from 7:00 AM -- 5:00 PM four days per week, typically Monday through Thursday.
  • Occasional flex time and overtime required.
  • Starting pay is commensurate with experience with merit raises based on performance.
