Responsibilities

The Purchasing Clerk oversees the general responsibilities associated with operating the company stockroom and print shop. This position also assists the department with acquisitions and mergers.

Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all job-specific training requirements in a timely fashion.

Oversee in-house print shop utilizing production class copiers, finishing equipment and print software. Print and distribute promotional and marketing material as requested.

Oversee company stockroom, to include, completion of stock requisitions, receiving inventory, stocking shelves, unloading trucks using company forklift and reducing on-hand inventory using ePMX purchasing software.

Support and assist the Staples Advantage office supplies account by maintaining shopping lists and placing orders for approved requests.

Support and assist the UPS Campus Ship account.

Maintain data bases and records utilizing hard copy filing and Microsoft Office Suite.

Facilitate ordering of office supplies utilizing web based ordering platforms.

Sort and distribute departmental mail. Distribute interoffice mail for Court Street location.

Assist department with acquisitions and mergers.

Project a positive attitude and collaborate with direct report to achieve excellent customer service.

Cross train in order to support other department responsibilities.

Other projects and duties as assigned.


Qualifications

High School Diploma plus specialist business education and experience.

A minimum of two (2) years customer service experience preferred.

Proficient PC skills, Microsoft Office and web based platform skills.

Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Hours: 40 hours/week

Compensation: Commensurate with experience plus potential for annual merit increase.
