Maxim Crane Works LLC Welder/ Fabricator in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania

Purpose 

 

  

 

Welders lay out, fit and fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms using knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and engineering requirements. 

 

  

 

Duties and Responsibilities 

 

 

*  Welding ferrous and non-ferrous materials with structurally sound welds in various positions on structural components and sheets. 

*  Perform welding repairs using TIG, MIG, and stick. 

*  Fabricate repairs as needed through torching, cutting, and welding. 

*  Experience with machining / milling tools and equipment 

*  Perform all duties in both shop and field environments. 

*  Ability to fill out all service reports properly and completely, machine checklists and other service reports within department guidelines. 

*  Completes all paperwork before moving on to the next job; communicates extra time needed to complete tasks to immediate supervisor. 

*  Properly segment jobs and order parts accordingly. 

*  Effectively communicate job status to Service Manager and office personnel. 

*  Works in an efficient manner in the shop. 

*  Capable of in-depth electrical, hydraulic, and power train related troubleshooting using prescribed tools, guidelines, and documentation. 

*  Use safe working practices and adhere to all safety initiatives.  

 

Minimum Requirements 

 

  

 

Education: 

 

 

*  High School diploma or GED 

*  Associates or Vocational degree preferred.  

 

Required Certifications: 

 

 

*  AWSD 1:1 Certification 

*  Forklift Certification  

 

Experience: 

 

 

*  Minimum 5-7 Years Fabrication Experience 

*  History of working with different forms of mobile crane equipment, specifically Grove RT and TMS Cranes; Grove GMK European Cranes; Manitowoc, Liebherr, Terex.  

*  Intermediate proficiency in reading and interpreting CAD drawings and knowledge of normal technical requirements i.e., tolerance and fit. 

*  Must be able to use measuring equipment such as tape measures, combination square, calipers, and other gauges for quality inspection. 

*  The ability to operate metal processing equipment, drive forklifts and operate 10-ton overhead cranes. 

*  Proficient working with computers for information lookup and data entry. 

*  Ability to work in a team environment, with a good work ethic and good attendance. 

*  Ability to work overtime (extended weekdays and weekends) to support production demands. 

*  Drug testing and background check will be administered prior to hiring.
