A Senior Mechanical Engineer job opportunity is open with our client in Canonsburg, PA. In this role you will be responsible for designing, developing, demonstrating, producing, assembling, testing, and delivering SONAR arrays and electronic assemblies. To be considered for this role you will have an Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience OR a Masters Degree.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for designing, developing, demonstrating, producing, assembling, testing, and delivering SONAR arrays and electronic assemblies.

• Designing and analyzing components and electro-mechanical assemblies

• Creating and maintaining mechanical solid models and drawings using SolidWorks

• Creating and managing bills of material (BOM) within Company's data management systems

• Developing fixtures and equipment to support testing and production efforts

• Developing and presenting PowerPoint slides documenting design progress

• Participating in various technical and program meetings on a weekly basis

• Developing technical presentations, recommendations, and written communications to explain technical issues to program management and the Navy customer team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a US Citizen

• Ability to obtain Department of Defense Secret security clearance

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience OR

• Master's degree

• Strong proficiency with modeling CAD tools to create mechanical models and drawings

• Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, as well as technical, government, and industry standards

• Collaborative, creative thinker with experience leading complex projects

• Strong communication skills with ability to write technical papers and proposals
