Pennsylvania State Job Bank Part Time Accounting Clerk in Butler, Pennsylvania
Organization
Community services organization seeks an accounting clerk for the Butler, PA office. This person will manage funds for the residents of community homes. Work closely with residents, management team, Social Security Administration, and Department of Public Welfare and Financial Institutions, to ensure proper accounting, record keeping and procedures.
Position
Responsibilities include:
- Establish resident accounts
- Audit and reconcile accounts
- Work with representative payees and ensure they are communicating with the agency and residents
- Apply for and secure rent rebates and social security benefits for residents. Prepare individual tax returns. Establish and/or monitor, bank and other accounts residents are funding.
- Apply resident funds to room and board
- Financial reporting of resident accounts
This position is 24 hours per week and you can choose your own schedule between the hours, Monday - Friday 8:00 am -- 4:30 pm. Pay rate of $15.00- 17.00 an hour depending on experience and education. On site in the Butler office. This office provides a friendly collaborative low stress environment.
Requirements
Training will be provided. We are looking for:
- Someone who is good at working with numbers and doing calculations, who wants to do accounting or financial work.
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Good data entry, Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- Organized and detail oriented
- Has proven ability to learn
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and obtain clearances
