This role is to lead and oversee Client negotiations of GPS documentation, coordinating with business partners (Legal, Client Implementation, Sales, Product, Relationship Managers amongst others) to ensure a highly efficient documentation experience whilst managing the risk exposure to the Bank.

As our Senior Project Manager you will:

  • Manage responses to customer requests for Global Documentation and other GPS agreements requiring clause explanations and managing basic, intermediate and complex negotiations, for GPS solutions supported by legal, Compliance, Client Implementation, Sales, and Relationship Managers

  • Work closely with GPS Product Management, Legal, Compliance, Sales, Relationship Managers and Client Implementation to manage and complete negotiations in a time efficient, consistent and comprehensive manner

  • Work with Documentation counterparts in other regions to manage Negotiation / Documentation requests for US HQ clients

  • Understand and interpret the client requests and analyze the operational, commercial and legal risks in accepting any changes or propose alternative amendment solutions to address the client’s needs whilst protecting the bank’s risk

  • Review supporting documentation (undertaking due diligence such as reviewing board resolutions, trade registers and other local authorities)

  • Provide documentation consultancy for complex implementation deals and responding to complex RFP’s in relation to HSBC’s legal agreements

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $75,000 and $155,000.

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Qualifications

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Must have either formal legal training or qualification and experience within the Banking sector

  • Ability to read and understand legal contracts together with sound commercial acumen

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, possessing good negotiation skills with both internal and external stakeholders

  • Previous experience of Cash Management products would be beneficial either at HSBC or a competitor

  • Self-awareness with confidence to work as part of a team and independently

  • Client facing ability and possess clear communication skills

  • Advanced business writing skills

  • Excellent ability to deal with stakeholders at all levels

  • Experience of making prompt and practical business decisions, even in times of ambiguity, considering various perspectives and taking responsibility for outcomes

  • Comprehensive understanding of risk management and proven experience of ensuring own/others' compliance with relevant regulatory processes

  • Corporate experience and understanding of customer/banking relationships
