Transport students from home to school and school to home safely, and occasionally to field trips, sporting events and off-campus activities while following traffic laws; maintain NY State commercial driving license; learn bus routes and bus schedules; help students, particularly those with disabilities, on and off the bus; ensure students are acting safely while being transported and while entering and exiting vehicle; maintain order on the bus; report issues to school supervisors; ensure bus is in good condition by checking important indicators like tire pressure, lights and gas levels; perform regular vehicle inspections and alert the company of any repair needs or mechanical issues; keep clean bus interior, making sure bus is presentable; maintain knowledge of first-aid procedures. The position requires daily travel in the Western New York- Niagara Falls region. Occasional travel outside those areas will be required 3-5 times per year for field trips. All travel will be within the State of New York and will be within 150 mile radius.

CDL LICENSURE REQUIRED WITH BOTH P & S DESIGNATIONS.
