Are you looking for a role that lets you showcase your knowledge of K-12 education while you build exciting relationships with customers and sales teams? Renaissance is seeking a National Academic Advisor (NAA) with specific expertise in bi-literacy in Spanish & English to assist with solution sales, driving demand, and enabling the sales teams in North America!

The National Academic Advisor team members serve as Renaissance solution and product specialists in K-12 technology. In this role you will work with Account Executives and Sales leaders to create and deliver customized sales presentations, present at conferences and trade shows, and meet directly with customers. As the team’s bi-literacy expert, you will travel nationally. NAAs must possess or be willing to develop in-depth product knowledge including application in a variety of K-12 educational settings.

The National Academic Advisor role requires travel 70%+ of the time, including some weekends. If hired, you must live within one hour of a regional airport.

National Academic Advisor Crucial Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Create and develop ideas to grow the Renaissance product solutions in collaborative partnership with the sales force, product line managers and marketing

  • Develop and present customized sales demonstrations and presentations on all Renaissance solutions and products to new and existing customers. Including presentations in Spanish.

  • Present sessions at K-12 tradeshows, conferences, and other marketing activities.

  • Support sales to retain existing accounts while ensuring a high level of customer happiness.

National Academic Advisor for Bi-literacy consistently exhibits exceptional skills in:

  • Understanding language acquisition theories and pedagogical approaches for teaching bi-literacy

  • Advocating for equity and access to bilingual bi-literacy education with the goal of bi-literacy in Spanish and English.

  • Using assessments and assessment strategies to measure reading and math achievement and growth in two languages.

  • Implementing K-12 bilingual or dual language curriculum and analyzing & leveraging K-12 assessment data to impact student outcomes.

  • Planning, preparing, and speaking publicly in multiple formats (verbal, written, in person, via video/phone) including the ability to present in Spanish & English as needed.

  • Listening and identifying customer needs to improve product positioning and facilitate solution selling

  • Reacting quickly to situations in context and adjusting presentations quickly

  • Building positive relationships with internal and external customers

Develop and/or maintain current knowledge of:

  • Educational initiatives and concerns including assessment, curriculum, and instruction especially in bi-literacy education.

  • Culturally responsive teaching practices

  • Competitor features and comparisons

  • Product content, design, technical background, operation, and use cases

  • Go To Market strategies and initiatives.

  • 12+ years of related experience in bi-literacy education and/or education technology required

  • 3+ years district level experience with different types of assessments and their use cases required

  • Experience implementing bilingual education and assessment methods

  • District educational administrator background preferred

  • Self-motivated and able to work strategically and independently

  • Master’s degree in ESL/bilingual education, applied linguistics, language & literacy, or a closely related area preferred

  • Fluent in English and Spanish (including speaking, listening, reading, and writing) and able to deliver presentations in either language.

  • Ability to travel 70%+ of the time required, including some weekend travel

  • If hired, must live within an hour of a regional airport

Salary Range: $99,500 - $136,800

This range is based on national market data and may vary by location.
