Buffalo. Unicell Body Company. Material Handler with ERP. $24 - $28/hour.
Job Summary: The Material Handler with ERP is responsible for the receipt, storage, inventory, and distribution of materials and goods in the warehouse or production area. The role requires proficiency in operating ERP software to track material levels, process orders, and generate reports. The individual will ensure that the warehouse runs efficiently, materials are available as needed for production, and inventory is accurately maintained.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Material Support: - Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and goods. - Ensure materials are handled & stored, following safety guidelines. - Monitor stock levels and assist in maintaining an optimal inventory to avoid shortages or overstocking. - Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move materials. - Label, tag, and organizing materials in an easily accessible and safe manner.
ERP System Support:
- Enter and update data into the ERP system for inventory tracking.
- Monitor inventory levels through ERP to track stock movements, sales orders, and production needs.
- Generate reports and monitor material usage patterns to optimize supply chain activities.
- Process material requisitions and monitor purchase orders within the ERP system to ensure timely procurement.
- Assist in performing cycle counts, audits, and inventory reconciliation using ERP tools.
Order Fulfillment:
- Small level of Pick & pack to prepare materials for shipment or internal distribution.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Follow up with suppliers and vendors on material delays or issues as needed.
Quality Control:
- Verify the quality and quantity of materials upon receipt and before shipping.
- Report any discrepancies or damage to materials or goods.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with other departments, including production and shipping. You will report to Purchasing and have dotted line management from the GM of Van, to ensure the timely and efficient flow of materials.
- Communicate material requirements and updates effectively to supervisors and team members.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety regulations and workplace policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow guidelines to minimize material waste or damage.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and suggest improvements to material handling processes to increase efficiency.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in ERP systems and material handling best practices.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Associates or Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is a plus).
Experience: * Proven experience in material handling or warehouse operations. * Experience with ERP systems (such as SyteLine, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) is required. * Familiarity with inventory management and logistics procedures.
Skills: * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. * Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.). * Proficiency in ERP software and basic computer applications (MS Excel, Word). * Good communication, demeanor and problem-solving skills. * Punctuality is a must
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, and move materials (often up to 50 lbs).
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
Work Environment: The job typically takes place in a warehouse/production environment and outdoors. The work may require exposure to various environmental conditions, such as temperature fluctuations or warehouse noise.
