Assistant Director - Office of Education Abroad & International Partnerships (71101) Contributes to the field of International Education, which may include attending and/or presenting at regional, national and international conferences each year as necessary, appropriate, or fiscally feasible. In close partnership with the Director, oversees the development and implementation of, and compliance with, all international education policies and processes, deadlines and timelines, among other items. Supervises graduate student assistants and collaborates with the Director in all aspects of training of the education abroad team. Convenes, coordinates and leads/co-leads regular OEA team meetings; this includes monitoring work-related issues, student and Institute needs and setting agendas. The Assistant Director will co-lead the team in collective problem-solving and assign individual tasks as needed. Works with the Director on projects to continuously improve the use of technology to create more automated processes and to ensure that data-driven decisions are met. Maintains data related to study abroad and assists in the development and dissemination of quantitative and qualitative reports. Works very closely with the Director in managing an assigned portfolio of education abroad programs, including fiscal and budgetary management and Terra Dotta maintenance, internal and external partner relationships, among other items as needed. In the absence of the Director, serves as the primary OEA liaison for questions related to new and existing education abroad program development and program budgeting. Working closely with the Director, contributes to and supports the implementation of new processes and predefined action items based on external recommendations related to health , safety, and risk management as well as program processes, operations and fiscal and budgetary recommendations. Collaborates with the Director and Pratt's financial leadership team on the decision-making required to create and fine-tune annual program budget templates and processes. Collaborates with the Marketing and Communications division on program promotion and campus-wide outreach of the OEA portfolio. Leads the Program Coordinator and Program Assistant on developing, monitoring, evaluating, and refining systems, processes, policies and procedures related to education abroad program management. Supports the Director in developing overall program assessment criteria and supports the assessment results to inform long- and short-term strategic planning; recommends and implements programmatic changes as necessary. Works closely with the Director around strategic planning and initiatives, reporting requirements, and adherence to Institute policies and protocols. Represents the Director at meetings and projects, as needed and handles key roles upon request. Provides leadership in ensuring smooth and clear communication flow of decisions to internal and external constituents and cross-functional workflow within all divisions of the Institute. Contributes to the day-to-day functioning and improvement of the office and implementation of strategic initiatives, per the external reviews. Leads and contributes to the development of the OEA team as professional global educators and stays current in the field. Bachelor's Degree Required and experience in relevant field. Enthusiasm for the work around education abroad and its constant evolution. Excellent writing, public speaking skills and comfortability in one-on-one meetings with different stakeholders. Proficiency with general computer software applications (G-Suite and experience with Terra Dotta or similar software). Proven ability to handle accurately, consistently and dependably many projects with little supervision in a pressured and deadline-oriented environment.
