Job Title: Assistant Maintenance Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team. This role involves assigning job plans, managing maintenance team members, and ensuring departmental goals are met. The successful candidate will maintain positive customer and employee relations, act as a liaison to various stakeholders, and ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures. Additionally, you will oversee all applicable codes, standards, and specifications, develop QA/QC inspection protocols, and support the development of strategic goals.

Hard Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, Management or related field or transferrable management experience (3 years minimum; 5 years preferred)

  • 4 years of management experience

  • Capability to obtain CMRP / ICML MLT 1

  • Expertise in repairs and preventive / predictive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment

  • Knowledge of hand/power tools, shop math, pneumatics, power transmissions, parts nomenclature, measurements, and fasteners

  • Operation of heavy industrial equipment such as forklifts, scissors lifts, and boom lifts

  • Flexibility to work various shifts including holidays and weekends

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Bronx, New York.

Work Environment

This role is based in a brand new facility, and candidates should be comfortable with performance being tracked by data and numbers. The Assistant Maintenance Manager will play a critical role in managing the facility, implementing processes, and establishing best practices to set the building up for success. Openness to all shifts is required, and relocation assistance is provided if needed
