Hours Per Day: 7.5 (8:00 – 4:00) Work Year: 11 Months Per Year – Off during school breaks. Minimum Pay Rate: $17.50/HourClassification: CompetititvePosition Overview:The successful applicant will provide support for the Barclay School Main Office. Strong clerical, record keeping, computer, and written and oral communication skills are required. Among other tasks, the job entails communicating with departments across the district, updating records, filing, communicating with parents, collecting/organizing parent notes for dismissal, and maintaining confidentiality. Candidate must have ability to handle high volume of phone calls and daily activities in a busy school office setting. The successful candidate will be a person who exhibits a keen attention to detail and is flexible, creative, calm, and open to constructive feedback. Key Responsibilities:
Performs clerical duties such as data entry, filing, photocopying, and scanning documents.
Maintain and create accurate records and databases related to student transcripts, grading, report cards and other pertinent information.
Manages incoming and outgoing communication, including phone calls, emails, and mail.
Provides excellent customer service to students, parents, staff, and visitors, addressing inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Coordinates scheduling and appointments for district personnel, meetings, and events.
Assist people at window when greeter is away from desk.
Dismissal: Per building needs.
Building Calendar
Schedule space for BOCES service providers and for building events (assemblies, etc.).
Schedules meetings for 504’s and maintains 504 files.
Communicate with Transportation Department about bus information (sitter forms, bus lists, bus changes, etc.).
Maintains and updates cumulative file contents.
Adheres to established procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with district policies and regulations.
Coordinates emergency drills with administration.
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal, Assistant Principals and Counselors.

Qualifications:Civil Service: Those individuals classified as an Office Clerk III OR reachable on the current Civil Service Office Clerk III list OR otherwise qualified by the rules of the Monroe County Civil Service Commission will be considered.Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus EITHER:
Successful completion of at least thirty (30) credit hours from a college or university; OR
One (1) year paid full-time or its part-time equivalent office clerical or secretarial experience*; OR,
An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications.
Knowledge of Infinite Campus, Adhoc Filters, and mail merge desired.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to handle a fast-paced, high volume office with frequent interruptions.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and courteous demeanor.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
A self-starter who can multi-task and has the ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
